Parlay Revival Crew Endorse Port Whangarei Marine Centre
This Summer, Port Whangarei Marine Centre played host to the Parlay Revival team when they hauled out their 2012 Lagoon 450 catamaran for an important maintenance stop. They took a break from their Pacific cruise to spend some time on the hard to get things shipshape for their onward journey.
The vessel was hauled out on the 100T travel lift and set down on the hardstand where Oceania Marine’s skilled tradesman supported the crew in getting the job list completed. From here the crew were able to access the extensive facilities for ‘live aboards’ available at the Marine Centre. Skipper Colin MacRae described their time at Port Whangarei as an amazing experience and comments as follows:
“We hauled out at Port Whangarei to replace all of our through hulls amongst a list of many other jobs, and have to say we had an amazing experience. The crew area was so spacious and convenient, and we ended up using it every night. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and just let us get on with our work. Will definitely be coming back here next time.”
The history of Colin and his boat Parlay is very interesting. They describe the restoration of Parlay from a Hurricane wreck to an ocean going cruiser and the adventures the crew have along the way.
