Sailing Catamarans Head for Port Whangarei Marine Centre

Sailing Cat numbers are booming as the world cruising and domestic fleets grow exponentially. A good number of these multihulls choose the Port Whangarei Marine Centre (PWMC) for their haulout and maintenance needs. The PWMC is equipped with two oversized travel lifts that can accommodate beam widths of up to 13.5 metres and has extensive hardstand with no multihull surcharge. The PWMC is located within the Whangarei Harbour, New Zealand. It is a full service yard with a highly skilled workforce covering all marine trades. This is supported by an extensive network of specialist suppliers and sub-contractors which ensures every need in met. The port forms part of the city of Whangarei, with its famous ‘Town Basin’, café culture and good quality crew houses available if needed. The wider environs of Northland is one of New Zealand’s top recreational destinations offering active crew plenty to do in down time.
