New 560T Travel Lift Project Underway at Port Whangarei Marine Centre

Oceania Marine Refit Services in Whangarei are extremely pleased to announce that their new travel lift project is underway, with the recent placing of an order  for a 560T machine from Cimolai Technology in Italy.

This new machine will perfectly compliment the existing 100T machine at their Port Whangarei Marine Centre facility, providing cost efficient, flexible haul out options for an even wider range of vessels.

The new lift will have an inside beam of 13.5m, a useful increase on the 10m limit of the 100T machine, to accompany the greater lifting capacity. Infrastructure works will commence shortly and should be finished around the same time as the arrival of the new machine from Italy.

Once build up and testing is complete they hope to have it operational around the middle of 2021, keep an eye out for regular updates, or contact them directly if you require further information.

Oceania Marine offer a wide range of services, answering all the needs of recreational boaters and commercial operators. They are currently in the process of increasing their highly skilled workforce across all trades to accommodate the increase in capacity.

2020 has brought it’s share of surprises and difficulties, but Oceania Marine are taking an optimistic view and are pushing ahead with this substantial investment, which will be of benefit a wide range of recreational and commercial operators.
