The new MBH100 Cimolai travel lift has arrived at the Port Whangarei Marine Centre (PWMC), located at South Shipyard, Port Whangarei, New Zealand. A technician from Cimolai in Italy is on his way to oversee the assembly, certification and commissioning processes before the machine becomes fully operational. The lift has been specifically designed for the large range of craft to be handled at the PWMC. In particular it will handle yachts, wide beam craft such as catamarans up to 10 metres beam and the wide variety of vessels currently serviced by Oceania Marine.

The upgrade of the hardstand and facilities at the PWMC is also almost complete making it the best quality and largest marine facility of it’s type in New Zealand. General Manager, Brad Hall, has overseen the project and will manage operations. He is supported by a dedicated team ranging from administration, accounting, shipyard hands and most importantly dedicated trades staff and sub-contractors covering all areas. Oceania Marine has had over 10 years of experience in delivering the highest quality of service to it’s customers and is backing operations at the PWMC.

Managing Director, Martin Gleeson, is currently returning from Monaco Yacht Show where he finalised details for the new 560T travel lift and expects to place a confirmed order for delivery before the start of the 2017 season.
